See my latest satire, The New Normal, at The Satirist, published just today, the first day of the new year!

Hi. I’m a student that just read your story The New Normal for class. I’m taking a quiz over it tomorrow along with many other high schoolers. Just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed your story. Im having trouble understanding the satire. Is the satire double standards or bank robbing?
Dear Adriana,
I am sorry to be so woefully delayed in responding to you. My flaw is that I am somewhat technologically challenged and often am quite derelict about checking this email site. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to respond before your quiz. I’m glad you enjoyed the story. Thought I used a bank robber, the story was actually meant to be a satire of political hypocrisy, and of how language is twisted to permit certain politicians to contradict themselves and buy off the press.
Again, I’m sorry this response comes to you so dreadfully long after you sent your email. And I very much appreciate the fact that you read this for class and that you enjoyed it!
